What we look for when reviewing your website

That you maintain your reciprocal link to ArikiArt
That you use the link code we provide you with when you submitted your request. Our linking information that we provide you is randomly generated, and does not always point to our home page. We ask that you use the html provided exactly
That your links directory is reachable by a link from your homepage
That your website adds value to our visitors
That your site is not a "link farm" or nothing more than a links directory
That your site is a registered domain and not a subdomain of sites such as geocities.com
That your site has unique content
That your site is not merely a site with links to affiliate websites, e.g. a site that links to pages at amazon.com or ebay listings
That your site is built to a minimum standard with respect to graphical and website design "best practice"
That your site's links directory has an organized structure with separate link categories, with url information that supports that structure
That your link to us is static and not dynamically generated
That your link pages do not have an excessive number of links per page. We do not like to see more than 20 partner links per page. (ArikiArt posts no more than 10 partner links per page)
That your site does not require a user name and password
That your site does not have a "flash" introduction

Note to webmasters for new sites that do not yet have Google Page Ranking

We will link to sites that do not yet have Google Page Ranking; we were there once too and needed page-ranked sites to help us on our way, so are willing to return the favor to new sites. However, we will only approve such requests for websites that meet all or most of the requirements above. For such sites, we give greatest weight to the design of the links directory, specifically: categorization, directory structure, url information, and number of links per page. Preferential Partner Link Exchange Program

We will give preference to websites with higher Google PR and websites that are obviously managed by webmasters who understand SEO. Other than PR, we look at your directory and navigational structure, your link file naming, your meta tags, and the number of links on your pages. Websites that excel at these features can request that we place them higher in our category pages, or we are willing to place a link from a page that is not within the links and resources directory on the basis of a similar reciprocal link placed within your website outside of your link directory. Submit your request for preferred status by responding to the email that we will send you when you submit your link exchange request or by using our contact form.

We use LinkMachine to manage our links program. We used to use LinksManager and paid $19.95 a month for a considerable period before undertaking a search for a cheaper alternative. LinkMachine offers all the functionality that we had with LinksManager and more. It is also much easier to use when it comes to customizing your links pages. And it's a once only cost when you buy the software. We have found LinkMachine functionally rich and easy to use, and very cost-effective.
