Maybe you're not as depressed as you
think you are

| This painting creates the impression of outer-space or
even perhaps time travel. White streamers appear throughout the
canvas and the portrait appears like a spinning top. With all those
spirals and swirls, you might at least feel a little dizzy, although the
title suggests not depressed at least. Even if this is space or time
travel, the characteristic presence of a dog accompanying the portrait
subject in an Annie Marquis painiting is still present. Does the
guard dog ride atop his private space ship, or float on some kind of
bubble? And look! It seems that in the midst of space junk, there may even
be dogs lost in space! Or is that the white soul of a dog who has shuffled
off this mortal coil? |
