Painted Gourd Art by McKenzie Birnie in the online art gallery of McKenzie Birnie.  McKenzie spent Christmas of 2002 in Alamos, Sonora, Mexico. The trip burned many images into her memory, and she created this painted gourd from her memories.  The inside of the gourd is also decorated with holy pictures reminiscent of the paintings of the saints on the walls of the "Los Santos" hotel.
