Lori Keilwitz, Artist Born 1974, Washington State

Lori Keilwitz artist Washington State USA Lori Keilwitz joined Ariki Art in June 2004. She is a self-taught artist who was born with a natural talent that she exhibited at any early age and that amazed her teachers and family. Even while the young Lori was still in preschool she stunned teachers and family with the detail she put into a sleigh and reindeer painting she did on a plate as a class activity at Christmas time. Her father was so proud of the plate that he kept it.

Lori no doubt draws some of her talent from her father who loved to draw and who would draw pictures for his daughter at her wish. Lori was fortunate to be supported in her artistic talent by her family and at 8 years of age, her grandmother bought Lori her first sketch pad. There was no holding back the outpouring of artistic talent from then on.

Lori paints in oils and her paintings are reflective of her various moods and states of mind which she represents not only in self-portraits in urban settings, but also in still life paintings and cityscapes.
