Giclee Print Reproduction "Seagills"

This giclee reproduction of Raymond Neher's painting entitled "Seagills" is one of four bird paintings in a series entitled "The Birds of Cadatonia".  The "Seagill" pair are painted in orange and brown and sit on thin leafless branches about to burst into bud.  In the background are the thin clouds characteristic of Raymond Neher's fantasy world of "Cadatonia". 

Each bird in the series is a creation of Raymond Neher's imagination and the series is an extension of his series of monoprints entitled the "Flora and Fauna of Cadatonia".  Cadatonia was an imaginary land that Raymond Neher created based on his recollection of an imaginary land he dreamed up during childhood summer vacations at the New Jersey shore.
