Flower paintings are most likely hanging on a wall near you right now!  What's the bet?  Take a look and see.  Whether you're at home, at the office, in a hotel room, or other commercial space, chances are, somewhere close by there is a painting of flowers.  Probably nothing can beat religious art down the ages, but flower paintings must be a close second.  The reason is obvious: flowers are intrinsically beautiful and we enliven our living and working spaces with them.  We celebrate with flowers on all sorts of occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, mother's day, and to console friends and family when their loved-ones pass away.  So is it any wonder that flowers are the subject of so much art?  And of course, our artists too have painted flowers.  Hopefully you can find a painting of flowers in our galleries that can light up one of your walls.
