Abstract Painting - Suppress

The easiest way in life to try and avoid your problems and fears are to keep them in yourself. Thinking that it might make you feel better. While a person is keeping all of this in there are more things in life happening that also influence you. By keeping everything bottled up in you, you are bound to explode and you have to deal with it one way or the other.

Abstract Painting - Myself from outside

Abstract painting myself from outside by Daniele van Eck
This painting portrays the issues of life. It contains a figure that sees it's own shadow, the same as one sees all your troubles and issues when looking at yourself. All problems and issues seems too complicated to handle whereas from a different, positive point of view it seems as simple as your usual shadow following you around.

Abstract Collection Red/Black

The Collection consists of paintings illustrating sensitive aspects of South Africa's current state. The paintings are only done in red, black and a bit of white. Color red used gives energy to these paintings which in returns depicts happiness and liveliness where as the black conveys a morbid, deadly and fearing feeling. In contrast with the symbolism of the painting it actually portrays Chinese/Eastern contents of tradition, unity and religion.

The exquisite form of the female body gives beauty to this painting but the intensity is seen through the posture of the back and shoulders. This depicts the emotional strength of a woman through hardships of life. The rest of her body gives a feeling of calmness symbolising a woman's gentle, caring and loving nature. The black background provides depth to the painting and ensures an ultimate feeling of sensuality.
