Mission-Style Craftsman Lamp

Southern California Artist, Juan Coronado

This painting in oil is an abstract work suggestive of a lamp in the "Mission style" of furniture.  Painted in blue-green on a background, the work features cutout pieces of canvas that have been glued to the surface of the canvas and then painted, giving the piece superb textural relief.
