Dante's Inferno (Hot August Night III)

The lower half of the painting is finished in hot and fiery red paint, creating a sense of Dante's "Inferno".  Above ground, so to speak, the sky is cool in gray-green.  Painted with oil over textured acrylic base layer, this painting is on a generous 48x36 inch canvas, and like all of Juan Coronado's paintings, is finished on all sides of the canvas allowing for hanging without framing.
