"All the Way to China"

I personally love this abstract piece that
Juan recently finished for its earth tones and rusts, which fall into my
range of favorite colors. When you were a kid, did you used to believe
that if you kept digging straight through the earth that you would end up in
China? At least that's what we thought as kids in New Zealand.
The fact is that the "antipodes" to New Zealand is in fact Spain! Oh
well, I'm glad we now have GPS. The title of this piece, however,
suggests that perhaps kids growing up in Mexico and Southern California also
believed that digging through the earth would bring them to China.
