This painting could almost be called a still-life reflection on
autumn. There are many objects in the painting for a start: a
woman with her hair pulled back and appearing like it is blowing
in the wind; autumn leaves and the remains of flowers fly by; a
red apple, the fruit of autumn, sits cut in half; and a French
horn and cello, perhaps symbols of autumn music festivals,
complete the picture.
