If you were desperately in love, how would you paint
yourself?
Ariki Art, July 8th 2004
Our latest artist member did it like this in a work she called
"Desperation".
If
you haven't visited Ariki Art recently, you might not be aware that
Lori Keilwitz joined our community of
artists on June 25th.
Lori hails from Washington state. She has painted since
childhood, preferring oil on canvas as her medium. Her works reflect a deep
sensitivity to her soul and the echo of its voice whispered in domestic objects
and the urban landscape about her. We trust you will enjoy the artworks offered
here in Lori
Keilwitz' online art gallery.
It's a while since we had any new works by
Southern California artist, Annie Marquis,
but we have just added 5 new paintings by Annie. Annie continues her style of
painting a portrait, most often after American
artist
John Singer Sargent. The portrait subject is accompanied (or guarded?) by a dog,
and the paintings are typically framed in a wallpaper-like border.
Please visit
Annie
Marquis' online art gallery to view her works.
Jeane Coutts is busy at work preparing for an exhibition that
will open on the evening of Saturday August 7th, at the Green Door Gallery at
the
Santora Building of the Arts, 207 North Broadway
between 1st and 3rd Streets in the Artist's Village, Santa Ana, Orange County,
California. If you live in the area, be sure to come by and see Jeane's
magnificent works. I have previewed them recently, and as always, Jeane is
coming up with incredibly original and magnificent works of art. Of
course, we will be listing her new works here at
Jeane's online art gallery at
arikiart.com.
