The Lord's Prayer in Maori.   The pattern on the front of the pouch is the traditional "Three Kete" pattern, representing
the three Baskets of Knowledge that were a gift of the god Tane,
containing man with life's primary needs: spiritual, physical, and mental. 

The three kete were brought back through the Twelve Heavens and are symbolically depicted.  A Celtic cross pattern is weaved on back of
the pouch, symbolizing the bringing together of Maori and European cultures in the foundation of modern Aotearoa (New Zealand).
