Linen and Silk Taniko Weaving - 4.25" x 1.25"
Quantity:

Taniko Amulet made by traditional Maori finger weaving using linen and silk threads. Glass beads adorn the ends of the fringing and necklace.  Lined pouch contains laminated card with The Lord's Prayer in Maori.   The pattern on the front of the pouch is the traditional "Three Kete" pattern, representing the three Baskets of Knowledge that were a gift of the god
Tane, bringing to man the fulfillment of life's primary needs: spiritual, physical, and mental.  The three kete were brought back through the Twelve Heavens and are symbolically depicted.

A Celtic cross pattern is weaved on back of the pouch, symbolizing the bringing together of Maori and European cultures in the foundation of modern Aotearoa (New Zealand).
